Baby on Board!

First of all, HUGE thanks to Tori Hafen for my cute blog! I have always wanted a blog but I am pretty illiterate with this kind of stuff so I had to enlist some help. I love it!

I mostly want this blog to keep track of my pregnancy, since I am not very good at writing things down and I can just upload pictures onto here. And bare with me, I'm not a very good writer. Also, this is about my pregnancy and I'm pretty open about things, so don't be surprised!

Back in February, my parents came down to visit and I had the greatest idea to go whale watching in San Diego because it was whale watching season and it reminds me of my childhood and we hadn't gone yet since we've been here. I was a little nervous because I do get a little nauseous on airplanes and I hadn't been on a boat in the middle of the ocean in years! But of course I was so so excited, and so were my parents and Sam so I tried to not make it a huge deal. Well, of course a huge storm was coming in off the coast and as soon as we got out of the bay, the waves were huge and the boat was a rockin! I tried looking straight ahead and at land and I wanted to go outside but since the waves were so big the Captain wouldn't let us go outside. I was bent over in a ball and I told my mom that I needed bags... yep, it was coming! And it sure did! Probably the worst day ever. (So I thought!) Thankfully, the waves were so big that the Captain decided to turn around and go back and I finally got to sit outside. It was definitely a rough day. That same trip, my mom gave me a green ring. She said that she got me and my sister and sister in law all rings and they all meant something. Of course, the one that she got me was a fertility ring. My mom is not subtle at all!

About two weeks later, I was a few days late and I'm very regular. I kept telling Sam I was going to take a test on a certain day and he kept telling me don't do it because I had a few scares before and pregnancy tests are not cheap! But I know my body, and there really was something going on! I took a test and I didn't pee on it enough or at all maybe, (probably the hardest test a woman has to take) and nothing happened. So I chugged a Mountain Dew and waited and I kind of forgot about it. So like an hour later, I did it again and it was immediately positive! I was freaking out!!! I put shoes on and ran to the store to buy another one. Chugged water on the way there and the way back, did the test, POSITIVE! Oh yeah had a minor freak out with Luka.

Sam was on nights that week and I couldn't handle it, so we went to his work to surprise him. He was excited to see us and I convinced him that we just wanted to come say hi. I didn't know how to tell him we just sat there and talked for a few minutes. Only me knowing this secret is the greatest/hardest thing ever! Its crazy. So Sam wanted to get an energy drink so I start to head that way and I said, hold on! I have to tell you something. I showed him the two positive tests and he thought I was joking and somehow got positive pregnancy tests from someone! I had to convince him that they were mine and I was pregnant! He told me to take another test! I just told him I would go to the Doctor the next day to take one there. I went to the Doctor and took a test, positive. The nurse used her little wheel chart to guesstimate my weeks and a due date. I was about six weeks and she gave me a due date of November 11, 2015. I was pregnant on that whale watching trip and had no idea but I don't think that's why I got sick, but who knows!

We called all of our family the next day and told all of them. Most people wait for a while to even tell family and I have no idea how they do that! It's such a hard secret to keep. Everyone was super excited and pretty surprised! Such a fun time. I haven't been very good at taking pictures so hopefully this blog will help me out!

This is how we announced to family and friends on Facebook and Instagram that Baby Morgan would be arriving November 8th, 2015.

My mom works for an OB/GYN in St. George and I was there for my sisters and sister in laws college graduation and for Mother's Day and a PA at her work offered to do an ultrasound. I was so so excited because the only ultrasound I had was very low quality. Military does the bare minimum so I was very excited to have one. The only bad part is Sam wasn't there but it was so cool. I finally got to hear the heartbeat too!

I had my mom snap some pictures of me too while I was there. 14 weeks and baby is starting to make its appearance. The dress helped the belly pop a little more but baby is there! I really cannot wait to find out what we're having. Especially for my moms sake, she's going crazy not knowing and she keeps buying clothes. Baby M already has so much clothes and toys its crazy! But I love how much our baby is loved already and I'm only 14 weeks pregnant. It's amazing!
